WAST (Women Advancing Sustainable Tourism) is a dynamic project under the KA220-YOUTH framework, aimed at fostering cooperation partnerships in youth and addressing crucial aspects of digital transformation, youth employability, and sustainable tourism. Specifically designed to support young women and professionals in the field, WAST offers a comprehensive array of resources and activities.

The project encompasses various topics essential for navigating the modern landscape of sustainable tourism, including the development of digital readiness, resilience, and capacity building. Through the creation of educational guides and an innovative eLearning platform, participants are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the digital era while contributing to sustainable tourism practices.

One of WAST’s key initiatives is the development of an Alternative Digital Map of Resources, providing users with a curated database of sustainable tourism initiatives, eco-friendly accommodations, and responsible travel options. This map serves as a valuable tool for both professionals and travelers seeking to make ethical and environmentally conscious choices.

In addition, WAST offers an Online Space Community Exchange Platform, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking among young women and professionals in the sustainable tourism sector. Through this platform, participants can engage in meaningful discussions, share best practices, and forge connections that drive positive change.

Complementing these resources, WAST conducts training activities aimed at enhancing the employability of young people in the field of sustainable tourism. These activities focus on increasing quality, innovation, and recognition of youth work, empowering participants to pursue rewarding careers while making a meaningful impact on the industry.
