The consequences of careless use of the internet, especially of NAPs, can be very painful for the individual. Depending on the case, it is possible to continue to feel the effects for many years after the incident. It is possible for someone to lose money or become a victim of another scam, be sexually harassed, overcome by negative emotions, anger, jealousy or fall into depression or any of the other situations we encountered in Section 1. The most severe of the above consequences are certainly of cyber bullying and sexual harassment and/or abuse. Victims of both cases, if not disclosed in time, and without the necessary psychological support, can even lead to suicidal ideation and the act itself. In this Module, we will therefore deal with these two cases more and give more emphasis to them. Informing adolescents in these 2 areas is an important factor of successful prevention, because it prepares and “cautions” them to bring the right resistances at the difficult time. After completing this module, we will be able to:
- To understand how the perpetrators think and what they are looking for from us.
- Recognise the possible situations that may lead to sexual harassment
- Distinguish between the different types of cyberbullying
