The possibility given by the built-in cameras of mobile phones, laptops or even desktop computers can be used by teenagers to release their sexuality, even when they are far away from each other. This is called online sex (cybersex). A variation of this is the exchange of erotic messages between couples (sex + text = sexting). More information can be found at the link. Regardless of the correctness or otherwise of this practice, many dangers lie behind such an event. First, it is possible to secretly record, which can be used as in the case of revenge pornography, or simply to defame and expose the other person. The same applies to sexting, which can be made public and cause harm and humiliation to the other party. It is basically possible, even if it is done on purpose and is staged, to lure the targeted person into cybersex for the sole purpose of shaming and humiliating him or her by revealing the messages, pictures or videos. For this reason, the person indulging in such practices should know the person as well as possible, and they should have coexisted and physically together. In addition, he/she should observe basic protection rules, such as not showing a person who can be easily identified with certainty. More advice is given in the next Section III. It should always be kept in mind by the young person participating in sexting that he/she must have a clear statement from the other party that he/she agrees, otherwise he/she risks being accused of sexual harassment. It is also good to know that showing third parties the images and videos exchanged during sexting falls under the category of revenge pornography. Another danger that falls into the category of cybersex is the possibility that everyone now has of making money by making a channel on media such as OnlyFans, where they can upload sex scenes and get paid by their followers. Several such cases are, unfortunately, promoted by the media, with attractive headlines such as “She worked as a nurse for 600 euros, and now makes thousands from home”, which only succeed in devaluing hard and ethical work in the minds of young people. Here, the danger is not the disclosure by a third party of private moments, but the ease with which some media make it easy to exploit the exploitation of prostitution[1].
