Privacy and Cookie Policy

Cyberno (“Cyberno”, “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through cyberno.org, why we collect it, how we protect it and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Greek Law 4624/2019.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, subject and message.
  • Learner accounts (course platform): username, name, email, course progress, quiz results and certificates.
  • Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited, for security and statistics.

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Replying to enquiries: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Providing training programmes and managing accounts: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Sending the newsletter: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Website security and preventing malicious activity: legitimate interest.
  • Visitor statistics: consent, through the cookie notice.

4. Children

Our activities are also aimed at young people. For children under 15, accounts are created and data is processed only with the consent of a parent or guardian (Art. 21, Law 4624/2019).

5. Who receives your data

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Only service providers that support us technically, acting as processors, may have access: our web hosting provider, Automattic (Jetpack: statistics and newsletter), Defiant (Wordfence: security) and Google (embedded map). Where data is transferred outside the EEA, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework apply.

6. How long we keep data

  • Contact messages: up to 2 years.
  • Learner accounts: while the account is active and up to 3 years after the last login, or until you ask us to delete it.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Security logs: up to 90 days.

7. Cookies

We use:

  • Essential cookies for the site to work: sign-in, language and security. These do not require consent.
  • Statistics cookies (Jetpack Stats) to understand how the site is used.
  • Third-party cookies from embedded content (e.g. Google Maps) when you view it.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent. To exercise these rights, email info@cyberno.org. We will reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), a firewall, restricted access and regular backups.

We may update this policy. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
