Course 03 · Intermediate
Digital Tools and AI for Teaching
A broad, hands-on digital toolkit — every tool chosen for a teaching purpose.
Dates 2026-27
Adrianou 4, Neo Psychiko, Athens · Monday–Friday, 09:30–12:30
About the course
What this course is about
Most educators do not need another list of apps. You need a way to decide which tool is worth the lesson time, and the confidence to set it up yourself. AI dominates the conversation, but shared boards, interactive video, screencasts, learning platforms, coding and classroom games still carry daily teaching.
This is a week of building. Each morning covers a family of tools and you build with it straight away: an interactive activity, a multimedia resource made from openly licensed material, a mini unit on your learning platform, your first block-based code and a game-based task. AI appears only where it saves time — drafting, levelling a text, writing quiz items you then check. Because Cyberno works on digital safety, one morning is dedicated to account security, learner data in free apps, cyberbullying and wellbeing.
What makes it different: it is the broadest toolkit in our series — AI is one tool among many, and one question runs through the week: does this tool serve the teaching purpose better than paper?
Who is it for
Teachers and lecturers of any subject and age group, ICT coordinators and education staff who want a wide digital toolkit rather than one specialism. You should be comfortable with the software your organisation already uses and have tried an AI assistant at least once. Course 01 is recommended but not required. Bring a laptop.
Learning outcomes
What you will learn
By the end of the course you will be able to:
Select digital tools for a stated teaching purpose, using the SAMR model and a "why this tool?" test.
Create an interactive learning object, such as an interactive video or quiz.
Assemble an accessible multimedia resource from openly licensed material, correctly attributed.
Build a mini blended or flipped unit on your own learning platform.
Design a computational-thinking or game-based activity for your subject.
Evaluate classroom apps for data protection and secure your own accounts with a password manager and two-factor authentication.

How we teach
- Short input, long making — on your own laptop, and everything you build stays in your files.
- Peer exchange in mixed pairs, so a physics teacher explains a tool to a language colleague from another country.
- An action plan that grows every day, plus a Cascade Pack: a ready-made 45-minute briefing for colleagues.
Certificate and follow-up
- Certificate of attendance listing the dates, the 15 contact hours and the learning outcomes.
